    Getting Started Step 1: Using this manual The instructions in this manual are for LBT-LX50/LX30/LX8/LX7/LX6/LX5. The LBT-LX6 is the model used for illustration purposes. Any difference in operation is clearly indicated in the text, for example, “LBT-LX7/LX5 only” or “For European models.” Wide display is used for LBT-LX8/LX7 and normal display is used for LBT-LX50/LX30/LX6/ LX5.

    Step 2: Hooking up the system Follow steps 1 through 4 to hook up your system using the supplied cords and accessories. Right speaker FM antenna The above illustration is of the LBT-LX6. Connect the speakers. 1 Connect the speaker cords to FRONT SPEAKER jacks.

    Inserting two R6 (size AA) batteries into the remote With normal use, the batteries should last for about six months. When the remote no longer operates the system, replace both batteries with new ones. Note If you do not use the remote for a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage.

    Basic Operations Playing a CD — Normal Play You can play up to five CDs in a row. (Power) VOLUME PLAY MODE DISK SKIP AMS ./> CD N VOL +/– Press PUSH OPEN and place a CD on the disc tray. If the disc is not placed properly, it will not be recognized.
