It can be difficult to make a good copy of a Diazo original. Diazo originals have a changing lightness with a 'cloudy' background, which can give an unclear output. The ColorWave 3800 has a special [Diazo] preset, that follows the lightness and changing background of the original and copies to an even and high quality output.
When you have an original on which colors are accentuated or highlighted, it can be difficult to make a good copy on which the highlighting is still visible. The ColorWave 3800 has a special setting [Color highlighting], that highlights the color accents of the original in black and white or color.
