1 Hardware Overview Batteries The computer has two batteries: a rechargeable Lithium-Ion main battery pack and RTC battery (that backs up the Real Time Clock and CMOS memory. Universal Serial Bus (USB2.0) Two Universal Serial Bus ports, which comply to the USB 2.0 standard, are provided on the right hand side of the computer.

1 Hardware Overview Keyboard The computer's keyboard layouts are compatible with a 104/105-key enhanced keyboard - by pressing some keys in combination, all of the 104/105-key enhanced keyboard functions can be performed on the computer. Figure 1-6 is a view of the keyboard. See Appendix E about a layout of the keyboard.

The microprocessor controls whether the charge is on or off and detects a full charge when the AC adaptor and battery are attached to the computer. The system charges the battery.
