Your device If your old Nokia device does not have the Phone switch application, your new device sends it in a message. Open the message in the old device, and follow the instructions. 1. Select the device you want to connect to, and pair the devices.
Nokia AV Connector. When connecting any external device or any headset, other than those approved by Nokia for use with this device, to the Nokia AV Connector, pay special attention to volume levels. Attach a wrist strap Tip: Attach the plectrum stylus to the device as you would a wrist strap.

Ovi Contacts users, for example, during a search: first name and last name. To edit your privacy settings, access Ovi on your PC, and sign in to your Nokia account. Change your profile image — Select the profile image, Select existing image, and the new image.
Add, call, or copy phone numbers from a chat — Go to a phone number in a chat, and select Options and the appropriate option. Ovi Sync To sync your device with Ovi, you must have a Nokia account and activate the Ovi Contacts service on your device. Sync your device with Ovi.
Select Menu > Applications > IM. With Chat (network service), you can exchange instant messages with your friends. If you do not have a chat account, you can create a Nokia account, and use Nokia's Ovi Chat. You can leave Chat running in the background while you use other features of your device, and still be notified of new instant messages.
Music folder ● To install Nokia Ovi Player to manage and organize your music files, download the PC software from www.ovi.com, and follow the instructions. ● To view your device on a computer as a mass memory device where you can transfer any data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable or Bluetooth connectivity.
Ovi Music is not available for all countries or regions. Nokia Podcasting With the Nokia Podcasting application (network service), you can search, discover, subscribe to, and download podcasts over the air, and play, manage, and share audio and video podcasts with your device.
● Next update time — Define the time of the next automatic update. Automatic updates only occur if a specific default access point is selected and Nokia Podcasting is running. If Nokia Podcasting is not running, the automatic updates are not activated.
To subscribe to an online sharing service, go to the service provider's website, and check that your Nokia device is compatible with the service. Create an account as instructed on the website. You receive a user name and password needed to set up your device with the account.
Nokia Video Center 13. Nokia Video Center With Nokia Video Center (network service), you can download and stream video clips over the air from compatible internet video services using a packet data connection. You can also transfer video clips from a compatible PC to your device and view them in Video center.
You must have an internet access point defined in the device to retrieve assistance data from the Nokia A-GPS service over a WiFi connection. To define an access point and positioning server for A-GPS, select Menu > Applications > Location and Positioning >...
Maps Content such as satellite images, guides, weather and traffic information and related services are generated by third parties independent of Nokia. The content may be inaccurate and incomplete to some extent and is subject to availability. Never rely solely on the aforementioned content and related services.
Use the Nokia Ovi Suite application to download the latest maps and voice guidance files to your compatible computer. To download and install Nokia Ovi Suite on your compatible computer, go to www.ovi.com.
When you find a place that does not exist or contains inappropriate information or incorrect details, such as the wrong contact information or location, it is recommended that you report it to Nokia. Available options may vary. Save places and routes Save addresses, places of interest, and routes, so they can be quickly used later.
Select Menu > Maps and Share loc.. To share your location, you need a Nokia account and a Facebook account. 1. Sign in to your Nokia account, or, if you do not yet have one, select Create new account. 2. Sign in to your Facebook account.
Maps Synchronize saved places and routes — Select Favorites > Synchronize with Ovi. If you do not have a Nokia account, you are prompted to create one. If you forget the PIN or PIN2 code, contact your service provider. If you forget the lock code, contact a Nokia Care point or your service provider. ● Lock code — The lock code is used to unlock the device. To avoid unauthorised use of your device, change the lock code.
If your device has OMA DRM-protected content, to back up both the activation keys and the content, use the backup feature of Nokia Ovi Suite. If your device has WMDRM-protected content, both the license and the content will be lost if the device memory is formatted.
