This power connector is for the 4-pin 12V plug from an ATX 12V power supply. CPU socket. A 478-pin surface mount, Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket for the Intel system bus that allows 4.3GB/s and 3.2GB/s data transfer rates.

    Central Processing Unit (CPU) 2.4.1 Overview The motherboard comes with a surface mount 478-pin Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket. The socket is designed for the Intel Pentium 4 Processor in the 478-pin package with 512KB L2 cache on 0.13 micron process.

Make sure that the fan and retention mechanism assembly perfectly fits the heatsink and module base, otherwise you cannot snap the hooks into the holes.
