This ASUS patented auxilliary power connector is used if you don’t have an ATX +12V power supply.     Motherboard installation Before you install the motherboard, study the configuration of your chassis to ensure that the motherboard fits into it. The P4PE uses the ATX form factor that measures 12 inches x 9.0 inches (30.5 x 22.9 cm). Make sure to unplug the power cord before installing or removing the motherboard.
