    1. O ve r v i ew User Interface (UI) The User Interface (UI) consists of the Control Panel and Touch Screen. The following describes the names and functions of components and indicators on the Control Panel. KEY POINT: The screens shown on the User Interface are a representation only of the type of screens that may be seen on the system.

    1. O ve r v i ew Power on/off Switch on the power before operating the machine. The machine warms up in approximately five minutes after which you can print. Switch off the machine at the end of the day or when it is not in use for a long period of time.

    Loading paper About paper Paper types in the trays The machine automatically detects the size and orientation of loaded paper in the paper trays. The paper type, however, must be set. Normally, plain paper type is set as the default for each of the trays.
